Abir Ward completed her studies in English (language and literature) at San Jose State University in California and obtained a master degree in comparative literature (Arabic and English) from the Lebanese American University. She is currently pursuing her Ph.D. studies at Indiana University of Pennsylvania in Composition and Applied Linguistics. She teaches academic writing and communication skills at the American University of Beirut (AUB), and she works freelance as an editor, business and technical English trainer, and a public speaking coach training mainly TEDx speakers. Her academic research has appeared in Elsevier’s ScienceDirect, and she was on the editorial team of the academic reader Shifting Narratives. She chaired the editorial committee for Pages Apart: An Academic Reader.
